Our story

PRP TECHNOLOGIES HAS BEEN CREATING BIOSTIMULANT SOLUTIONS FOR AGRO-ECOLOGY SINCE 1971

In the 1960s, agronomist Roland Pigeon established the empirical basis of a method for stimulating microbiological processes by using specific mineral salts.

PRP was created in 1971 in order to exploit this work for the benefit of agricultural production. Biostimulants were neither known nor accepted in those days. It was so easy to dismiss these unconventional products as “fairy dust” or “snake oil”.

Nevertheless, PRP persevered and built a sound foundation of technical references through scientific partnerships.  Its teams have tirelessly been promoting the biological activity of soils as a lever for the quantitative, qualitative, and sustainable development of plant production, specifically by familiarizing tens of thousands of farmers with soil profiles.

The small company from Brittany has now become an international SME. With a presence in 10 European countries, PRP, which became PRP Technologies in 2008, holds 7 international patents and 2 ANSES registrations. And it is still innovating!
