The Humusphere defines the dynamic vision of the soil with its blend of minerals, water, air, organic matter and living organisms. It incorporates sub-groups like the rhizosphere, the zone surrounding the roots with the most concentrated microflora, and the mineralosphere, "silent" microflora living on mineral particles in the soil. | |

The Phyllosphere is the ecosystem on the surface of leaves, with a wide variety of living organisms. The plant's functioning and ability to resist external attack are determined by the balance between these communities. | |

The Zoosphere designates the system formed by animals, their digestive microflora and environment. An animal's growth and its production and reproduction capabilities are closely linked to its internal balance and its environment. |
